Healthy Eating Week 2022 🍎πŸ₯•πŸŸ

From the 13th to the 17th of June this week, the British Nutrition Foundation is celebrating Healthy Eating Week! It takes place once a year and has a new theme for each day. This year, the focus is on eating well for you and the planet 🌍

Each day has a different focus to help you to build a nutritious & balanced diet.

πŸ“… Monday: Focus on fibre – for meals and snacks

Have more wholegrain foods, fruit and vegetables, beans, peas, and lentils

πŸ“… Tuesday: Get at least 5 A DAY – put plenty on your plate

Have at least 5 portions of a variety of fruit and vegetables every day

πŸ“… Wednesday: Vary your protein – be more creative

Eat a wider variety of protein foods and choose plant protein sources more often

πŸ“… Thursday: Stay hydrated – fill up from the tap

Have about 6-8 drinks a day and choose reusable or recyclable drinks containers

πŸ“… Friday: Reduce food waste – know your portions

Aim for the right amount when you shop, cook, and eat to avoid throwing food away

We will be sharing our top tips to help you make simple swaps and smart choices to help you achieve a healthier, more sustainable diet for you and for the planet πŸ˜€
